Zong Raises Mobile Package Prices Yet Again

Zong Raises Mobile Package Prices in the midst of escalating prices across the tech and telecom industry. While the surge isn’t substantial, it impacts various packages on a weekly or monthly basis.

Conversely, some packages have opted for a different strategy by quietly diminishing allocated resources, such as reducing calling minutes while maintaining the same price.

For instance, the Monthly Super Card now stands at Rs. 900, up from Rs. 800, but includes an additional 100 off-net minutes, somewhat mitigating the impact of the price increase. Fortunately, the Monthly Pro Max package remains unchanged at Rs. 1,600.

However, the same cannot be said for the Monthly Digital Max Offer, now priced at Rs. 1,500 with the same amount of mobile data and calling minutes. Meanwhile, the Monthly Supreme has silently decreased total calling minutes from 500 to 350 off-net minutes while keeping the price steady at Rs. 999.

These are just a few examples of monthly packages. Regarding weekly offers, the Weekly Pro Plus package has seen a modest price increase from Rs. 460 to Rs. 480 while maintaining the same resources. It’s essential to note that these costs recur weekly, resulting in higher monthly prices (Rs. 1,840 vs Rs. 1,920).

Similarly, the Weekly Pro now costs Rs. 460 instead of Rs. 440 but retains the same resources. The Weekly HLO and Weekly Premium packages also incur an additional Rs. 20 each. Super Weekly Plus experiences one of the most substantial price hikes compared to other packages, with a surge of Rs. 40.

These instances represent only a fraction of the overall price increases in both monthly and weekly packages. Zong is just one of the network providers raising prices recently, with similar trends observed across various companies for some time now.
