    Spotify partners with JazzCash to localize Premium Subscription Payments in Pakistan

    Spotify has partnered with JazzCash, one of Pakistan’s leading digital financial services providers, to offer a seamless payment solution for Spotify Premium subscriptions. This collaboration will allow JazzCash users from now on to subscribe to Spotify Premium Individual plan without the need for a traditional bank account, making ad-free music, track downloads and exclusive Spotify Premium features like AI DJ or Jam more accessible to millions of people across the country.

    Murtaza Ali, President of JazzCash, commented on the partnership, stating, “A large part of Pakistan’s population remains underbanked, relying heavily on fintech platforms like JazzCash. Our mission is to provide people with greater access to technology. With JazzCash, millions of Spotify users can now enjoy a premium music experience by simply paying for the subscription directly through their mobile wallets, making a global entertainment platform accessible to everyone.”

    As part of the new partnership, Spotify and JazzCash offer exciting promotions for new users. The “Always-On” offer provides two months of Spotify Premium for the price of one. Additionally, a limited-time offer till December 31, 2024, will allow new subscribers to enjoy four months of Spotify Premium for the price of one. To subscribe to Spotify Premium, users can follow these easy steps via the JazzCash app:

    1. Open the Spotify app, and choose the preferred Spotify Premium plan.
    2. Choose JazzCash as the payment method.
    3. Confirm the subscription to enjoy uninterrupted music streaming from over 100 million tracks.

    The monthly Premium Individual subscription plan is priced at PKR 349, with payments made directly through the Spotify app, providing an affordable and convenient way to upgrade to Premium. The JazzCash partnership underscores Spotify’s commitment to enhancing its local offering in Pakistan, enabling more users to enjoy its extensive music library.
