In a move to intensify its competition with Xiaomi’s Redmi series, Realme is making waves with the potential launch of a new “Note” series, as indicated by recent certification from Thailand’s NBTC.
The certification listing reveals a device named “Realme Note 50,” identified by the model number RMX3834, sparking speculations of a direct rivalry with the popular Redmi Note series. This development gains added intrigue from the same model number appearing on the Eurasian Economic Commission’s radar in November 2023, heightening anticipation. Despite the certification, specific details about the phone’s specifications and unique features remain shrouded in mystery.
Realme, already a significant player across various price brackets, boasts a diverse lineup. The C-series caters to budget-conscious consumers, while the number series addresses the mid-range and upper-mid-range segments. The GT lineup offers flagship-grade models like the recently unveiled GT 5 Pro for those seeking high-performance smartphones. The V-series, exclusive to the Chinese market, adds another layer to Realme’s diverse offerings.
As Realme teases the Indian market with the impending launch of the Realme 12 series, set for January 3, the company has also unveiled details about the Realme 12 Pro and Pro+. Certification listings reveal the Realme 12 Pro’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset and a 32MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. The Realme Pro+ is expected to feature a 64MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, adding to the anticipation surrounding Realme’s strategic moves in the competitive smartphone landscape.
