Javed Ahmed, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Jubilee Life Insurance presented the Wicketkeeper of the Tournament Award to Azam Khan after the HBL PSL 2024 final match between Islamabad United and Multan Sultans.
Throughout the tournament, Jubilee Life Insurance, the Official Insurance Partner for the HBL PSL Season 9 awarded the “Safe Hands of the Match” Awards for the most catches taken during the match. During the presentation ceremony of the final, the organization presented the “Wicketkeeper of the Tournament” Award for the most exceptional performance behind the stumps.
In Karachi, during PSL 9, Islamabad United triumphantly raised the trophy amidst a whirl of ticker tape and the brilliance of fireworks. Shadab Khan, leading his team, proudly hoisted the PSL trophy, marking Islamabad’s historic third championship win. This achievement came after a remarkable five-match winning streak to conclude PSL 9.
Having restricted Multan to a modest 159-9, the match continued until the final ball which Hunain Shah hit across the boundary for a four. Imad Wasim’s five wickets, a first in a PSL final, was decisive for Islamabad with the ball. That and Martin Guptill’s strike rate for his half-century must be the two performances that enabled Islamabad United to lift the trophy after a five-match winning streak in the HBL PSL Season 9.
The final showdown between Islamabad United and Multan Sultans had been a spectacle to behold. Islamabad United emerged victorious, lifting the coveted trophy for the third time in PSL history. Under the leadership of captain Shadab Khan, Islamabad’s triumph was a testament to their resilience and skill, culminating in a five-match winning streak that culminated in glory.
