    Johar Jawans and Karachi Knights Secure Victories in KTPL

    In the final round of the Karachi Tape Ball Premier League (KTPL), on the 14th day, two matches were hosted, with impressive performances from Johar Jawans and Karachi Knights  as they emerged victorious in their respective matches at the Moin Khan Academy. Clifton Popular, Malir Malangs, Gulshan Gabroos, and North Nawabs have qualified for the semi-finals. The first semi-final match will be between Malir Malangs and North Nawabs, while the second will feature Clifton Popular and Gulshan Gabroos.

    In the opening match, Johar Jawans cruised to a comfortable 9-wicket victory over DHA Dabangs. DHA Dabangs posted scores of 97/2 and 113/4 in their innings, while Johar Jawans responded with 105/1 and 109/2 to seal the win. Waqas Sher was instrumental with an unbeaten 51 in the first innings and 35 in the second, while M Miaraj contributed 38 runs in the first innings. Abdul Basit’s unbeaten 33 in the second innings helped finish off the chase. For DHA Dabangs, Arsalan Jamshed was the standout, scoring 71 with unbeaten in the first innings and 14 in the second, with Khurram Shahzad adding 28 in the first innings.

    On the bowling front, Johar Jawans’ Khurram Rabada was the key wicket-taker, claiming 3 wickets in the first innings, while Asad Ullah M Jahanzaib added 1. DHA Dabangs’ M Hasnain was their best bowler, taking 2 wickets in the first innings and 1 in the second.

    In the second match, Karachi Knights secured their first victory of the KTPL season four, defeating Lyari Legends. Karachi Knights posted 73/2 in their first innings and 110/3 in the second. Lyari Legends, in response, made 80/3 and 97/0. Kamran Arif top-scored for Karachi Knights, making 41 in the first innings and an unbeaten 24 in the second. Talha Ameer played a crucial role with 30 in the first innings, while Arif Shah contributed 30 in the second.

    Lyari Legends’ Zohair Naseer was the star with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 54 in the first innings and 21 in the second. Shahzaib Atish supported unbeaten with 25 in the first innings and 23 in the second.

    With the ball, Karachi Knights ‘ Shaif Ullah Saife and Shafiq Ur Rehman took 2 and 1 wickets, respectively. Lyari Legends’ Zakira Wakeel, Ahmed Kulfi, and Qari Hameed Ullah each claimed 1 wicket.
