Recent trademark registrations by the tech giant suggest that AI features will be at the forefront of its upcoming Galaxy S24 series.
The trademarks ‘AI Phone’ and ‘AI Smartphone’ have been officially registered by Samsung, providing a strong indication that the Galaxy S24 series will be at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and artificial intelligence. This strategic move aligns with Samsung’s recent unveiling of Gauss AI, a sophisticated AI system for its smartphones, akin to its proprietary version of ChatGPT.
Gauss AI is poised to revolutionize the user experience by generating text, including summaries and explanations, crafting images akin to DALL-E, and even assisting with coding. This marks a significant step towards integrating AI capabilities seamlessly into everyday smartphone tasks.
The discovery of these trademarks was made by GalaxyClub, a reputable source for Samsung-related leaks and information. In addition to ‘AI Phone’ and ‘AI Smartphone,’ Samsung is actively pursuing trademarks such as ‘Magic Pixel,’ ‘Flex Magic,’ and ‘Flex Magic Pixel.’ While the specific applications of these trademarks remain undisclosed, the inclusion of the term ‘Flex’ suggests a potential link to foldable device technology.
Industry insiders, however, note that the generic nature of the ‘AI Phone’ and ‘AI Smartphone’ trademarks could mean that they are still pending approval. Samsung has yet to confirm the status of these trademarks officially.
